A strong high-pressure system centred over Central Europe is determining the weather, but on the southern side of the Alps the air masses are layered in an unstable manner.

In the morning, conditions in the mountains will be good, with plenty of sunshine. In the afternoon, the likelihood of thunderstorms will increase slightly again.

On Sunday, the sun will shine across the whole region, with just a few cumulus clouds forming. The sunny, high-summer-like weather will continue on Monday as well. Tuesday will start with plenty of sunshine again, but the likelihood of thunderstorms will increase in the afternoon. Wednesday will also see sunshine and a few thunderstorms.
